Moxie began with a question we couldn’t ignore.

Why are so many successful people achieving on the outside, but feeling disconnected, stuck or on autopilot inside?

We saw people investing in holidays, coaching, wellness, self-development and performance tools, yet still returning to the same patterns, the same pressure, the same unanswered question:

“What now?”

They didn’t need another escape.

They needed a reset.

A clearer way to understand themselves. A deeper reconnection with what truly matters. A practical system to turn insight into real-life change.

That became the foundation of Moxie.

A premium reset experience built around science, soul and system.

Science, to understand the patterns.
Soul, to reconnect with yourself.
System, to turn clarity into action.

Because lasting change doesn’t happen by accident.
It happens by design.

Our Story

Sue Stoneman
Co-founder

I have spent more than four decades helping people and organisations unlock their potential.

My career has taken me from British Airways to Hyundai, private equity and NKD, the business transformation consultancy I founded and grew into one of the UK’s leading firms in its field. Across every chapter, my work has centred on one belief: when people feel valued, inspired and empowered, outstanding things can happen.

Long before business, I was fascinated by people. I studied Archaeology, then Social Anthropology at the University of Cambridge, because I wanted to understand how humans live, relate, believe and evolve. That curiosity has shaped everything I have done since.

At British Airways, I saw first-hand that businesses cannot create exceptional customer experiences unless they first create exceptional employee experiences. Later, through transformation work across aviation, automotive, banking, hospitality and financial services, I became known for helping organisations align brand, culture, leadership and performance.

I co-founded Moxie with Michael because I wanted to bring the same level of insight, structure and transformation usually reserved for organisations to individuals. After decades of helping businesses change, I could see how many people were craving the same thing in their own lives: clarity, confidence, direction and a practical way forward.

For me, Moxie brings together everything I believe in: smart thinking, brave choices, determined action, optimism, kindness and the deeper soulful work that helps people reconnect with themselves.

My hope is that Moxie helps people stop living on default and start designing a life that feels more honest, energised and aligned.

I have spent more than two decades helping people and organisations understand what drives behaviour, performance and meaningful change.

My career began with Disney, where I saw how powerful culture can be when people feel connected to a shared purpose. Later, at Virgin Atlantic, I worked in safety, emergency procedures and human factors training, exploring how people communicate, make decisions and perform under pressure.

That experience shaped much of my work. I became fascinated by how stress, emotion, confidence and cognitive bias affect the way people lead, relate and respond, especially in moments that matter.

Over time, I developed a way of translating complex behavioural science and psychology into simple, practical tools that people can actually use. That has become a central thread in my career: making the complicated feel clear, human and useful.

After Virgin Atlantic, I joined NKD, where I spent more than a decade helping global organisations transform leadership, culture and customer experience. I moved from consultant to senior leadership roles, including Managing Director and CEO, while continuing to develop methodologies that support real behavioural change.

It was at NKD that I began working with Sue. Over more than 12 years, we discovered a shared belief: people are capable of far more than they often realise when they have the right insight, confidence and support.

We co-founded Moxie to bring that work beyond the corporate world. After years of supporting leaders and organisations, we wanted to make world-class personal development available to individuals navigating the complexity of modern life.

For me, Moxie is about helping people understand themselves more deeply, make better decisions, build stronger relationships and create change that lasts beyond the retreat or reset day.

My focus is on the Moxie methodology: combining behavioural science, psychology, coaching and practical life design in a way that feels structured, accessible and deeply human.
